kimono and short set

Hey Guys
I started blogging because I wanted to show everyone how to shop on a budget and how to look good without breaking the bank.
Last year a friend of mine Minika (Thanks Girl) gifted me with this patterned material and I just kept it for a while thinking of what to sew with it. I love the prints and I knew I could do great things with the material lol!

After thinking for a while, searching Instagram, twitter and looking for Inspiration on what I could sew that would look perfect with the material, I decided to play safe and make a kimono and short set. I was kinda scared and was hoping it comes out perfect and it did and I totally, absolutely love it.
I love the pattern, the way it looks and Just everything about this co-ord.
I always dress really corporatey in my outfit post a lot and so I decided to switch things up a bit and dress differently. So I switched up my heels for sneakers and I am totally loving it.

What do you guys think? Can you wear this?
Thanks for visiting
xoxo

Kanga Fashion Festival

Hey Everyone
I know this is late but I attended the Kanga Fashion Festival at the flamingo rooftop in Gwarimpa here in Abuja.
I was super excited because it was my first blog event I attended and I was really glad I went because I got to meet a lot of amazing people and bloggers based in Abuja.
It was kinda scary at first but I talked myself into it and I had a very nice time.

I met Sarah of princessaudu, Vanessa of stylebyohaha, Janet of lifestylebyjanet., Mabel of mabelozumba, Bella of iambrownie
I hope we get a lot more of these events in Abuja because it is actually nice to connect with other bloggers and creatives.

Some fashion designers show cased their designs like WADZZ RTW, FADEOSIMI, SALAMY CO and I was totally loving everything about the outfits.
I love how the Nigerian fashion scene is evolving in Nigeria and I am super excited and looking forward to seeing a lot more.
I thank the Kanga magazine team for organising this amazing event and we really hope we get a lot more of these in Abuja.

Why Self Love is very Important

See How happy I look?
I used to hate my smile especially with my teeth opened and even when people told me they loved my smile, I never believed them.
But as time went by I learnt to love and accept myself and everything I hated about me, I ended up loving them.
Self love can make you a better person. It improves your physical, emotional and psychological state.
I want you all to give it a try and you will see that you attract good circumstances into your life as well as good people.

Just so you know, It's not about comparing yourself to others or boasting your self esteem but it's about self acceptance, self respect and accountability for yourself.
If you spend your time hating the way you look, the way your life is at the moment and you are constantly wishing to be someone else, you need to stop! and change your thinking.
Changing your thoughts is one of the keys to loving yourself.
Have you noticed how some people are always happy? and even with the little they have they enjoy their lives and you are there with so much more material things than them and you are sulking and filled with unhappiness.
You need self love because It's the first step to building a great relationship with yourself, you do not need people's approvals to live your life and criticisms does not affect you.
It is the only way to find true love :)
Self love is a prerequisite for genuinely loving another and allowing yourself to be loved in return. It emanates a certain kind of confidence and positivity and it also opens your eyes to real love and not tolerating crap when necessary.
My 2017 goal is to stay happy and love myself. I think you should try it too.

The Goddess piece by The Definition Clothing.

the goddess piece

Hello!!
It was my Birthday Sunday and even though I didn't celebrate it, I had an amazing time with God, my friends and the bf :)
I got this amazing piece from The definition clothing last year and I have been waiting for the perfect opportunity to wear it and while I was thinking of what to wear for my birthday shoot, I was super excited that I had this outfit because it is perfect.
The definition clothing is an amazing brand that makes breathtaking outfit and you guys should totally check them out on Instagram @thedefinitionclothing and order something if you want to slay.

I have a few quotes I would like to share.
  • " The pain you feel today is the strength you feel tomorrow. For every challenge encountered there is opportunity for growth"
  • " The only thing that stands between you and your dream is the will to try and the belief that it is actually possible"
  • Being Happy dosen't mean that everything is perfect. It means that you've decided to look beyond Imperfections
On my Birthday I actually sat down to think about my life and how far I have come and I realised that throughout 2016 I kept focusing on the bad things that happened to me, I was always Negative and there were literarily no positive thoughts at all in my head and that's why 2016 was one of my worst years ever but it was an amazing year as well because I achieved a lot of things that I am really grateful for and from the lessons I learnt, I realised that the battles of life are won or lost in your thinking. When you think victory, you will have victory no matter how long it takes but when you have thoughts of fear and whatever it can actually happen.
So Challenge yourself today, positive thoughts, give your all to God and have an amazing 2017.

Thank you for visiting
xoxo
